Everything is on fire, what’s mine to do?

These days, an avalanche of bad news hits you every morning before you even had the first sip of your coffee.

You’ve probably felt like this guy at least a few times this year already:

A cartoon dog sitting at a table in a burning room, calmly saying, "This is fine," conveying humor in a chaotic situation.

And I don’t blame you. Feeling overwhelmed, depressed, or heartbroken are not failures, but signs that you have not lost your humanity. That you are in fact in touch with what is going on. But here’s the thing: if we are only in touch with present reality, and allow ourselves to be overcome with hopelessness or its meaner little sister, cynicism, then we have truly lost the plot. If we give up, then there is indeed no chance for the just and regenerative future that we dream of.

And I don’t know about you, but that’s not an option to me. Amidst the chaos, inertia and backlash, the one thing that is keeping me sane is this: I know I am doing my best to bring my contribution, and I know we are many who are dedicating our lives to this work. A whole movement, centuries in the making, millions of people strong. That focus, and that community - that keeps me hopeful.

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You look out at a world cracking at the seams and wonder how we could possibly avoid disaster, and what is your role to play in all this
  • You are overwhelmed by both the number and complexity of the challenges we are facing, scattered, doing a little bit of everything or instead feeling paralysed and zoning out
  • You are uninspired by your current work, or constantly wondering if there is something else you’re supposed to be doing in this lifetime
A person sits on a rock, gazing into the distance, with clouds overhead and three birds flying in the sky.
A monochromatic figure holds binoculars, adorned with a vibrant floral crown, against a black background.

Imagine how it would feel to…

  • Have a clear understanding of the paradigm shifts we need and the different ways to support this process
  • Know exactly where and how you are best positioned to contribute and make a real difference
  • Go to bed every night knowing you have done the best you could, and motivated to do it again the next day

"I came in with passion but no clear path. Now, I feel grounded in my commitment, with clarity around the small, concrete steps I can take — and even the inspiration to start something of my own. Most of all, I feel empowered.

I’d recommend this to anyone at a crossroads — wanting to contribute to meaningful change but unsure where to start. This experience offers clarity, connection, and the courage to begin."

Verena Lorenz, Working towards regenerative tourism

This is the difference that knowing what your unique contribution is, makes. It’s possible to find changework that keeps you grounded, focused and inspired.

And I can't wait to show you how...

Nora wilhelm, founder of Parayma, wearing a red orange suit sits in a modern wooden chair leaning forward resting an elbow on her knee and her chin on that hand. Hand drawn stars to the top left and an arrow pointing down to the right

Hi, I’m Nora!

I was 16 when I awoke to the state of the world. Once I had processed some of the grief, shock and anger that this caused, I set out to make a difference. Ever since, I have been on a quest to make my best possible contribution to a better tomorrow. It was never a question of whether this is what I would dedicate my life to, it was just a question of how.

Since then, I have spent a lot of time thinking about how to truly make change work. In 2017, I realised that the tools we were taught would be insufficient to create the level of transformation needed, so I set out to learn about systems change. I worked in the field for 8 years, running multiple Social Innovation Labs, delivering hundreds of talks, training and supporting dozens of aspiring systems change leaders… Also burning out in the process.

I’m not ashamed to speak of what I went through, because it was one of the experiences in my life that taught me the most. I know now that exploiting myself is not the way to create a more regenerative world. This is one of the many hard learned lessons that I hope you won’t have to go through in the same way.

I am very passionate about helping people and organisations unleash their full potential, and getting clear on one’s unique contribution is a key component of this. After realising ‘how can I find my purpose’ is the number one question I get asked by people who want to make a difference in the world, I have decided to create this programme to support you.

I am putting all the tools, processes and insights I have gathered over my 15+ years of changework into a process to help you get clearer on what is yours to bring, to create, to set in motion.

“How did you find your ‘purpose’ and how can I find mine?”

I noticed last year that this is one of the questions I get asked most often after delivering a speech or a workshop. The truth is that it’s a tricky question for me to answer. “It just unfolded step by step” is completely unsatisfying. There are general answers, like ‘follow your heart’, that seem wholly impractical for someone looking to take concrete action.

Nevertheless, as I helped dozens of friends, mentees and fellow changeworkers get clearer on their unique contribution, I realised I did have a set of tools and questions that really made a difference in people’s lives. What I noticed was also that whilst there may be some ‘find your purpose’ frameworks out there, none of them are focused on changeworkers specifically, on people who are clear that they want to help address social or environmental challenges.

And, crucially, none who are based on systems change and paradigm shifts. Seeing this gap, I decided to put all my knowledge of the field into a systems-informed framework to support people in honing in on their unique contribution.

The SEED Framework

I have developed a unique, systems-informed framework to help you hone in on what is yours to contribute at this point in time.

Self-awareness

Envisioning

Ecosystem-awareness

Designing

In short, we will go through a process that begins with expanding your Self-awareness. Second, we will connect to the future we Envision. Then, we will develop Ecosystem-awareness to better understand the complex social and environmental challenges we are facing, and how to potentially make a difference. Based on these insights, we will then Design your unique role in this transition towards a better tomorrow.

Introducing: Changework Compass

The systems-informed online programme to unlock your unique contribution in the co-creation of a just and regenerative future, without burning out in the process

Curriculum Overview

The programme went through two live iterations - both totally sold out! - in Spring and Fall 2025. The content is delivered to you weekly through video-based workshops that you can work through in your own time. These are hosted on our own online portal and complemented by detailed workbooks to support your process.

When the programme runs live, we meet for weekly live sessions to go deeper, ask questions and connect with the other changeworkers also on this journey. If you miss a live session, no problem! The recordings are posted within 1-2 business days.

“Nora’s Changework Compass was a true gamechanger for me. After leaving my previous organization, I knew it was time for something new. I lacked direction on what to focus on and couldn’t see clearly through the fog of noise around me.

Working with Nora lifted that fog. She has a rare ability to guide with exactly the right system change tools — never overwhelming, always leading step by step toward greater clarity. What stood out was how she weaves together the systemic lens with the personal one, empowering me to think boldly, without slipping into naivety.

Her methodology goes beyond ego-driven entrepreneurship but always includes your unique personality and needs. Now, after the program, I feel calm and confident to be working on two clear pathways. It’s the most systemic idea-incubation program I’ve ever seen.”

The result

You’ll not only leave this programme with a clear purpose statement, but also a stronger sense of your position in the world, the transformation we are currently experiencing, where we are going, strengthened self- as well as ecosystem awareness, and community. All of which will be essential sources of nourishment and guidance in your changework for years to come.

Course Experience

Onboarding & Goal Setting

Right when you join, you’ll go through a brief onboarding process (self-paced) so you can learn more about your starting point, your goals, and any other info that will help personalise your experience. This is also a chance for you to reflect on your own goals for the program.

Kickoff Call

(live version only)

The first session will be focused on co-initiating this journey and getting to know your peers. (It will be recorded, so no worries if you can’t join live!) We will also be forming pods of 3-5 people that enables for those who want to connect more deeply throughout this journey.

Weekly Live Calls

(live version only)

We'll meet for live sessions, for 10 weeks. After our kick-off week, you’ll go through the self-paced videos in your own time, and then we gather live to go deeper and exchange. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Community

We'll also have a student community space where you can ask questions, celebrate wins, and share feedback with each other. You will retain free community access for at least 5 months.

Instructor Feedback

(live version only)

If you can't come to a live call, or if you need support in between calls, we'll have a dedicated feedback space in our online community where you can post any questions. There will also be prompts in the curriculum to submit specific assignments for feedback. I'll personally reply to everyone with comments and/or a short video reply, and I love when students jump in and support each other, too.

Digital resources

You will have access to this online programme as well as the community through our own digital portal. You will also receive multiple templates, one of each tool I introduce in the programme, and a free digital workbook to make this process as easy as possible for you. We will also be sharing additional sources, reading recommendations, and more - allowing you to dive deeper where you feel called to.

“Nora’s Changework Compass gave me a valuable way to explore the areas where I feel called to dive deeper and think about transformation. While she provided a great theoretical foundation for understanding systems change, what stood out just as much were the shared experiences within the cohort. I began the journey with a vague sense that I wanted to contribute to systems change — and finished with a clear direction and renewed energy to move forward.”
