"You need to reach down and touch the thing that is boiling inside of you and somehow make it useful."

Andre Lorde

Inside the workshop you’ll learn:

  • Why existing models to find your purpose fall short of the complexity of the challenges we are facing, or miss the point entirely when it comes to people who already know they want to make a difference in the world
  • About the importance of self-awareness, and why finding changework and a role that suits you is not selfish, but essential
  • What ecosystem awareness means, and you’ll be introduced to different systems thinking tools that you can apply in your own time to deepen your own understanding of the causes you care about
  • A model called the creative tension by MIT Complexity Scientist Peter Senge, which shows us why it’s essential to be connected to our visions as well as face reality the way that is - in other words, the importance of envisioning!
  • What to consider when thinking about what cause to focus on, so that you can truly bring your unique contribution to the table
  • How to anchor your cause (i.e. limit the scope purposefully) so that you don’t overwhelm yourself, because an overwhelmed changeworker is not one that can stand in their power, and that’s where we need you!
  • And more!

Because the answer to the current collapse isn’t to try to do everything at once.

Yes, we need to change the systems that create and perpetuate the social, environmental and economic problems we face. But trying to do it all or losing your energy in roles that don’t suit you is not the answer.

Instead, find your unique contribution - what you are truly well positioned to bring into the world. What is calling you, and where you can make a real difference. Because we need to respond to what the world needs, but we also need to include you in the equation. In this 2 hour live workshop, I will introduce my systems-informed framework to find that unique contribution of yours. You will be able to use the tools and ideas presented to reflect in your own time and plan your next steps, or you can decide to join us and do it in community with the Changework Compass.

"There is always light, if we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it."

Amanda Gorman

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You look out at a world cracking at the seams and wonder how we could possibly avoid disaster, and what is your role to play in all this
  • You are overwhelmed by both the number and complexity of the challenges we are facing, scattered, doing a little bit of everything or instead feeling paralysed and zoning out
  • You are uninspired by your current work, or constantly wondering if there is something else you’re supposed to be doing in this lifetime

Here’s the thing: in a world on fire, what keeps me sane is knowing I am doing all I can to bring my contribution - and knowing we are a whole movement, millions of people strong, doing this at the same time.

So knowing your purpose (what I call your unique contribution) is, to me, mental health care.

I’m Nora, your workshop host

Founder of Parayma, the well change atelier, and collaboratio helvetica, and mentor for changeworkers who want to work with, and learn from, someone who understands the unique struggles of this work.

Since 2010, after I awoke to the state of the world, I’ve dedicated my life and career towards shifting paradigms for a more just, regenerative, and beautiful future for everyone. After working in the field for so long, I realised I needed to deepen and expand my contribution and I couldn’t do that by just working longer hours.

So I've started a path of learning from experts, taking courses, reading books, and putting all of that into practice in my systems change work in Switzerland. Today, 8 years later, I've started my path of mentorship, giving people like you the same tools and learnings I wish I had when I started, so you can do both the inner and outer work to become a more fulfilled and impactful changeworker.

When I’m not working, I do enjoy creating art, walks with my dog, and getting lost in a fantasy novel too but that’s a story for another day! Looking forward to connecting with you.

“How did you find your purpose, and how can I find mine?”

Many people have asked me this question. It tends to surface after presentations and workshops, and is typically what I get asked most often (with ‘What is systems change?’ coming in a strong second). It’s difficult to give a neat, universal answer, because meaningful purpose often emerges gradually. Advice like “follow your passion” may sound inspiring, but it’s rarely enough for someone seeking practical guidance.

While mentoring friends and colleagues who are passionate about tackling social and environmental issues, I began to recognise certain exercises and reflective prompts that consistently helped them clarify their special contribution. I also realised that most “find your purpose” guides are designed for general audiences and do not address the needs of changemakers (or, as I say, ‘changeworkers’) — individuals who know they want to drive societal or environmental transformation.

Also, existing frameworks seldom draw on systems thinking and paradigm-shift perspectives. Seeing this gap, I developed a systems-informed approach for purpose discovery. This framework helps people identify their unique role in creating social and ecological transformation by focusing on underlying systemic patterns, rather than one-off solutions.

The SEED Framework

I have developed a unique, systems-informed framework to help you hone in on what is yours to contribute at this point in time.

 S.E.E.D.

Self-awareness

Envisioning

Ecosystem-awareness

Designing

Whilst we won’t be able to go through the whole process, that is what the Changework Compass (a 10 weeks online programme) is for, I will not gatekeep any part of this framework in our free workshop.

I’ll explain not just what I mean with the SEED Framework, this unique take on ‘purpose’, but also give you access to a multitude of free templates you can go through in your own time, if you wish.

For maximum benefit, including the opportunity to ask questions, join us live on the 10th of September 2025, from 6 to 8pm CET.

See you there <3
